All For One Reread Campaign: All For One (Downloadable Bookmarks!)

Last but certainly not least for the All For One Reread Campaign, we highlight quotes from Eliza in the final book of the series, titled All For One. We’ve endured so much with the middle Schuyler sister throughout her journey, and this is an emotional end to the trilogy documenting the sweeping love story between Eliza Schuyler and Alexander Hamilton.

Book Summary

1785. New York, New York.

As a young nation begins to take shape, Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler are on top of the world. They're the toast of the town, keeping New York City buzzing with tales of their lavish parties, of Eliza's legendary wit, and of Alex's brilliant legal mind.

But new additions to Alex & Eliza's little family mean change is afoot in the Hamilton household. When they agree to take in an orphaned teenage girl along with Eliza's oldest brother, John Schuyler, Eliza can't help but attempt a match. It's not long before sparks start to fly . . . if only Eliza can keep herself from interfering too much in the course of true love. After all, she and Alex have an arrival of their own to plan for, though Alex's latest case brings a perilous threat that may destroy everything.

The sweeping love story of Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler comes to a close in All for One, the riveting final installment of the New York Times bestselling Alex & Eliza trilogy.

Book Review

All For One is everything I could have asked for from the ending of a trilogy as sweet as the Alex & Eliza trilogy. It recounts the relationship of Elizabeth Schuyler and Alexander Hamilton- both incredible historical figures in their own ways but skyrocketed to pop culture fame with the hit Broadway musical, Hamilton. After reading a few biographies about Alexander Hamilton, I would consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur on his life and legacy, and reading a YA adaptation of the story has been absolutely delightful.

In this last book, Alex and Eliza have started to make a name for themselves in NYC after the war- Alex as an up-and-coming lawyer and Eliza as the most exclusive entertainer in town! Of course, their fabulous life is not without misfortune. We do visit the controversial Reynolds incident, and this was an especially powerful passage for me to read. Historically, Eliza’s reactions to these controversies were not documented, but de la Cruz gives her a voice. She gives Eliza the rage that she deserves to express, but also the composed grace to handle such a traumatic experience.

If you’ve followed Alex and Eliza’s journey, you won’t want to miss this final installment to this trilogy! Below, you’ll find some of my favorite Eliza Schuyler quotes from this last book!

I rate All for One 4/5 stars!

Note: The quotes that I pulled are from an uncorrected proof of the book.
