Mark the Page March Box: Merchant Misfortunes
Have you heard of Mark the Page? It's a new book box curated by Donna from Australia! Did I really just pay for international shipping for this book box? Why yes, I did, because she does an absolutely fantastic job putting items together and is so great with her customers- transparent and understanding. Read on to see what was in the March Merchant Misfortunes box!
The book in this box is a Beauty and the Beast retelling with adventure, set in a fantastical world that's a fairy tale come to life. Oh, and a signed bookplate, which is always nice!
Hunted, Meraki Candles, $11.98 (based on similar items)
An exclusive scent designed just for this book box. I've been meaning to try a candle from this company, so I was pretty stoked to see this included in the box, in such a pretty pale green color.
Beauty and the Beast Tea, First Edition Tea Co, $3 (based on similar items)
This sample pack of tea smells so yummy! I prefer tea over coffee when I read and relax at the end of the day, anyway, and I'm always happy to add more tea to my collection.
Hunted Bookmark, Behind the Pages, $2.71 (based on similar items)
I've always wanted to try their bookmarks! I think they look so pretty with their watercolor style. Each bookmark is all about the book it's inspired by, and I appreciate that. These bookmarks are quite thin, and I don't think I would actually use it in my daily carry because I'd be too scared of damaging the prettiness!
Bookmark, Read the Stars, $1.93 (based on similar items)
Super cute design on this one! And of course, I love the Beauty and the Beast quote on it.
Art Print, Adelayde Art, $6.69 (based on similar items)
A new addition to my prints wall! Simple and understated. Plus, I really like the contrast it has to the notecard that Mark the Page included with all of the item descriptions.
Bonus travel mug, $12 (based on a similar item on Amazon)
The March box encountered some delays, so Donna included this bonus item. There were a few different designs that I saw on Instagram, so the mug included in my box was a total surprise!
Box's total value: $48.17
Given that I paid about $44 with the extra international shipping cost, I think the box added up really nicely (but only because of the addition of the cute travel mug)! I was so pleased that the box was delivered in a timely manner; I'm always a little wary of international shipping, so I'm glad that Donna kept me in the loop with tracking information once my box reached USPS.
Mark the Page boxes can be purchased individually on their site, so you can pick and choose when you want to stop the shipments. I'm eagerly awaiting my April box because the theme sounded really cool. But because it's so expensive with international shipping, the April box will probably be my last.
