Mark the Page April Box: For the Dreamers
My second box from Mark the Page arrived so quickly, all the way from Australia! The theme for this box was "For the Dreamers," and I had a pretty good idea of what the book was going to be. Read on for a full unboxing! Note: All prices listed are in USD.
The book included was a paperback copy of Strange the Dreamer, by Laini Taylor. I haven't read any of her other books before, but I've heard great things about this book, and it's so beautiful! I definitely prefer this cover over the U.S. one. It also came signed!
Wooden Bookmark, Lillytales, $9.21 (based on similar items)
My very first wooden bookmark! I've been meaning to get my hands on one, and Kate's craftsmanship is wonderful. I also love that the bookmark has a Strange the Dreamer quote- perfect for marking my pages as I journey through this thick volume.
Illustrated Print, Jo Painter, est. $12 (based on similar items on Society 6)
This is a gorgeous illustration of two characters from Laini Taylor's series, Daughter of Smoke and Bone. I haven't read that series before, so I'm going to hold off on putting this lovely print on my wall until then. It's slightly glossy, and thick cardstock, and holds up beautifully!
Reading Journal, Litemporium, $5.84
Next up is an A5 reading journal to help keep track of my reads. I will never pass down a notebook, especially if it will fit neatly in one of my Foxyfix notebooks. I don't know if I will actually use this notebook though, since I already have a planning system that works for me. Well, my inserts end at the end of July, so perhaps I'll be able to slip this notebook into my planning then!
Tote Bag, Ink and Wonder Designs, $11.12 (based on similar items)
This is by far my favorite item of the box! It's so timely, too, with my new copy of A Court of Wings and Ruin sitting on my shelf and begging to be read. I also think that this fabulous Night Court tote would look great on my shoulder at Book Con- it's less than one month away!
Exclusive Pin, Treefolk Press, $7.50
How gorgeous is this little pin?! This brooch was designed exclusively for this subscription box, and it is just so delicate and unique! I'm not much of a pin-wearer, but I'll definitely add it to whichever tote bag I bring to Book Con.
Box's Total Value: $57.99
I paid about $44 for this box, including international shipping, so I am thrilled that the value of the box far exceeded my expectations!
