OwlCrate March Unboxing: Across the Galaxy

Okay, okay, I jumped back on the OwlCrate bandwagon! I was hooked by the promise of an exclusive version of their monthly book with stained pages. I had a pretty good idea of what the book would be, and it was one that I had been planning to pre-order, so this was perfect! Read ahead to see what was in the March OwlCrate: Across the Galaxy box!

The Illuminae Files Candle - Wick & Fable - est. $4

There were two variations sent out, one inspired by Illuminae and the other inspired by Gemina. I received the one inspired by Gemina's Hannah Donnelly!

Bookmark - LexyOlivia - $5

This gorgeous watercolor bookmark was inspired by a Star Wars quote and I have no complaints here! It's long, printed on sturdy cardstock, and photographs beautifully, of course.

Infinity Scarf - est. $12

This galaxy print scarf was made just for OwlCrate and its this luscious and silky smooth material. It's extremely comfortable and soft, and I know I will absolutely wear this on the go when the weather gets a bit warmer!

Guardians of the Galaxy Mystery Pint-Sized Heroes - FUNKO - $4.99

I love blind bag toys! I'm so happy that I got Star Lord. These tiny Funko pops don't take up much room on my shelf at all and are super cute.

Ceramic Mug - Sasha Natasha - est. $9

Another mug, another mug! This ceramic mug features a quote from The Lunar Chronicles and it's so cute! It's a beautiful quality item and is both dishwasher and microwave safe.

Bonus items

Included in this box was a beautiful print featuring a quote from Red Rising by Nerdy Post, and the usual pamphlet and button.

Heart of Iron, by Ashley Poston - $12.32

I loved Ashley Poston's Geekerella and I was so excited to own a copy of her space adventure, Heart of Iron. When I heard that OwlCrate's exclusive version would have stained pages AND be signed by the author, it was pretty much fate.

Goodreads Summary

Seventeen-year-old Ana is a scoundrel by nurture and an outlaw by nature. Found as a child drifting through space with a sentient android called D09, Ana was saved by a fearsome space captain and the grizzled crew she now calls family. But D09—one of the last remaining illegal Metals—has been glitching, and Ana will stop at nothing to find a way to fix him.

Ana’s desperate effort to save D09 leads her on a quest to steal the coordinates to a lost ship that could offer all the answers. But at the last moment, a spoiled Ironblood boy beats Ana to her prize. He has his own reasons for taking the coordinates, and he doesn’t care what he’ll sacrifice to keep them.

When everything goes wrong, she and the Ironblood end up as fugitives on the run. Now their entire kingdom is after them—and the coordinates—and not everyone wants them captured alive.

What they find in a lost corner of the universe will change all their lives—and unearth dangerous secrets. But when a darkness from Ana’s past returns, she must face an impossible choice: does she protect a kingdom that wants her dead or save the Metal boy she loves?

BOX VALUE: $47.31

I PAID: $29.99 plus shipping

This was a pretty amazing box stocked to the brim with goodies! Every single item in here is usable, practical, but also beautiful. I had unsubscribed from OwlCrate because they had featured a few contemporary books a few months ago, which didn't interest me, but I'm glad I resubscribed for the March Box and am so looking forward to the April Box as well!
